I'm so excited to announce Nails by Jenny's first Special!! While you're spring cleaning, make sure you give your poor feet a little pampering. This Pedicure will rock your socks. Literally. ha ha ha. There's no better way to get the winter out of your tootsies. Only available while supplies last, so get on my books today! Don't forget Mother's Day is coming up! Purchase a Gift Certificate for this service to give all of the Moms in your life.

I've been reading a lot about aroma therapy and essential oils lately. It's all very intriguing to me. I'm not granola by any means, but if there's a safe, natural, effective way to help me and my family live a better life I'm all for it. And the best part is, it will help me to provide YOU with awesome nail services!!

Here are some of the benefits of the Grapefruit oil I use in this pedicure:
For starters, it’s an Anti Oxidant, Diuretic, Disinfectant, Stimulant, Anti Depressant, Anti Septic, and it Keeps the skin clean. Particularly good for treating oily skin and acne. Gives a refreshing feeling. Also beneficial for treating stiffness and cramp in muscles. It helps in the removal of excess water, fats, sodium, uric acid and other toxins from the body and also reduces blood pressure and keeps our heart healthy. Wow. Sign me up for that. Come on in and I will help refresh your feet with grapefruit oil.

Tests, tests, tests. . . .

Fast forward a bit because I'm a slacker and haven't blogged for ages. I finished my apprenticeship with Dana, who rocks my socks by-the-way. I took my written and practical tests. I PASSED!!! Oh my goodness. So glad to have those done. As soon as we round up $60, I can put my little application in the mail and be the real deal. Now, I'm just going to go in to school once a week to see my girls Dana and Mandi, and to keep improving my skills. I'm going to get my instructors license so that hopefully I can help people like me not get sucked into the situation I found myself in a few months ago. I'm in no hurry to get that done though. I'm just happy I can apply for my license and start doing legit nails. I want to start using this blog to show off some of my work and to give you all some tips and ticks for home maintenance of your nails and feet in between visits with me. So stay tuned.

I am so grateful everything worked out. Dana really was awesome and blessed my life in so many ways. She is "The Nail Genius" after all. I believe that God's hand is in our lives more than we will ever know. Me being able to finish up with Dana and work from my house with my little munchkins nearby is no coincidence. It was an answer to so many prayers. What a humbling experience.

So, I am planning like a mad women to get my business going and get myself some established clients. There's a big "I just got my license in the Mail" party being planned, some specials to be offered, and so much more. I can't wait. Have I mentioned I LOVE doing nails?!?
